What Level Am I?
Let's break down our class levels at Flow Motion Fit so you can find your perfect class!
INTRO: For First-Timers and Newbies
New to aerial or pole? Start here. INTRO classes are designed for those with no prior experience. You'll learn the basics like spins, climbs, and floorwork while building strength and confidence. These classes focus on getting comfortable with the equipment and your body. Intro classes will still be challenging! But the strength and flexibility will come with practice and consistency. I would recommend AT LEAST 4-8 intro classes before moving on to higher levels.
Class Examples: Intro to Pole, Intro to Aerial Hoop, Intro to Aerial Sling
Beginner: Building the Foundation
Beginner classes are great for anyone who’s taken at least 4 intro classes or is coming back to pole or aerial after a break. Beginner classes might still feel challenging, and that's normal! We’ll start linking together the foundational skills you’ve already learned to create short sequences and flows. You’ll also continue building strength, control, and endurance to support your progress.
Class Example: Low Flow Pole Choreo
All-Level: A Mix of Skills
All-Level classes welcome students of varying abilities, from beginners to advanced. You may find yourself in class with someone more advanced or someone just starting, so be patient with yourself and others. If you’re brand new, I recommend starting with intro classes to build a solid foundation. But if an all-level class is what fits your schedule, you’re still welcome to join! Variations for different skill levels are offered so everyone gets a safe, effective, and challenging workout. Remember that we all come from different physical backgrounds, and progress looks different for everyone.
Class Example: All-Level Aerial Sling, All-Level Aerial Silks
Intermediate/Advanced: Taking It Up a Notch
In Intermediate and Advanced classes, you'll be expected to have some in-air endurance and be working towards aerial inverts. These classes focus on building strength, control, and fluidity, as well as more complex moves. You'll learn to combine tricks into sequences and push your limits in a supportive environment. Outside of more advanced tricks, the focus in these classes will be on cleaning up movements, working on smoother transitions, lines, and building up spin tolerance.
Class Example: Intermediate/Advanced Aerial Sling
