📸 Beach Family Session – FAQs

How long is the session?

Sessions are 45 minutes long, which is plenty of time to capture both posed and candid shots.

When is the best time for beach photos?

All sessions are scheduled around sunset or sunrise, during golden hour for the best light. No flash is used—the white sand provides beautiful natural lighting.

What should we bring?

  • A towel or blanket for sitting

  • Squeaky toy or bell for baby/toddler attention

  • Water/snacks for kids

  • Optional: extra hair ties for breezy beach days

What should we wear?

Wear whatever makes you feel the most confident! Personally, I love flowy clothing. It adds movement and looks stunning on the beach.

What if we’re late?

Sessions end at the originally scheduled time. Extra time (if available) can be added at the regular hourly rate.

What happens if it rains?

If the weather makes it unsafe or impossible to shoot, we’ll reschedule or refund your retainer. Don’t be disappointed by cloudy skies. The clouds add drama, and the softer light is very flattering on skin!

When do we get our photos?

Your edited gallery will be delivered within 1–2 weeks (10 business days).

What’s included in editing?

All images are lightly retouched (color, light, cropping). People in the background are removed free of charge when possible.
Extra edits (object removal, composites, etc.) are available for an added fee:

  • $60/hr standard edits

  • $80/hr advanced edits

Can I request changes to edits?

Yes! You get 1 hour of complimentary re-edits, which covers:

  • Up to 4 individual images, or

  • 1 overall style adjustment (e.g., brighter, warmer)

Requests must be made within 7 days of gallery delivery.

Will I get every photo taken?

No. Only the best images are selected and edited. RAW or unedited files are not included.

Can I print and share the images?

Yes! Your gallery includes a personal and commercial use license. You can share, print, or use for business—just don’t resell them.

Will my photos be shared online?

Possibly! I love sharing client highlights. If you’d prefer your images to remain private, just let me know in writing.

How long is the gallery available?

Please download your images within 3 weeks of receiving the link. After that, access is not guaranteed and may require a retrieval fee.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Your 25% retainer holds your date and is non-refundable, unless weather forces cancellation. You can reschedule once within the same year. If you don’t rebook within 30 days, the retainer is forfeited. Once the session takes place, the remaining balance is non-refundable.

What if you can’t make it?

If I can’t attend due to illness or emergency, I’ll try to reschedule or find a replacement. If that’s not possible, you’ll receive a full refund.
