General Session FAQ
For portraits, couples, families & solo sessions
How long is a session?
All family, couples, and solo sessions are 45 minutes.
This gives us plenty of time for a relaxed experience with a beautiful variety of images.
How many photos will I receive?
On average, you’ll receive 30–50 edited images depending on the type of session and group size.
Your gallery will be delivered online, fully downloadable, and includes a print release.
When will I receive my photos?
Please allow 10 business days from the date of your session.
What’s the best time of day for a beach session?
Golden hour — just after sunrise or just before sunset, gives the softest, most flattering light.
If you’re flexible, I’ll help choose the best time for your location and season.
What should I wear?
Choose something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.
Flowy fabrics look especially beautiful on the beach and add a sense of movement to your photos.
Should I bring anything?
Some useful things to bring to your beach session:
A blanket or towel for seated photos
Water, lip balm, snacks, or hair ties (especially with kids or on windy days)
Noisemaking toy for babies and toddlers
Personal items like hats, sunglasses, or any meaningful accessories, if you'd like to include them
What if I’m late?
Sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes and will end at the original end time.
If more time is needed and I’m available, additional time can be arranged at the pro-rated amount of your session.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather makes it unsafe or impractical to shoot, we’ll reschedule.
Cloudy skies are not a reason to cancel, and they often create beautiful, soft light.
Is editing included?
Yes! Every image you receive is edited with:
Light retouching
Color correction
Exposure and tone adjustments
Distraction cleanup (e.g., people in the background)
Can I request changes to the edits?
Yes! You get 1 hour of complimentary re-editing, which can cover:
Up to 4 individual image adjustments, or
One overall gallery tweak (like tone or brightness)
Requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
Will I get every photo taken?
No. Only the best images are selected and professionally edited.
Unedited or RAW files are not included.
Can I share and print my photos?
Absolutely! Your gallery includes a print and personal-use license, so you're free to post, share, or print your images as you wish.
(Just please don’t resell or misrepresent them.)
Will my photos be posted online?
I may share select images in my portfolio or on social media.
If you’d like to keep them private, just let me know in writing.
How long will my gallery be available?
Your gallery will be active for 3 weeks after delivery.
Please download and back up your images within that time.
What’s your payment policy?
A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to book
The remaining balance is due on or before your session
Editing begins once full payment is received
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes — you can reschedule once within the same calendar year.
If no new date is confirmed within 30 days, the retainer is forfeited.
Once the session has occurred, the full balance is non-refundable.
What if you can’t make it?
If I’m unable to attend due to illness or emergency, I’ll do my best to reschedule or refer a trusted backup.
If that’s not possible, you’ll receive a full refund.
